Birth through 6th Grade

Harbor Rock Kids exists to partner with families and assists children in building a firm foundation of faith in Christ alone. Our families can consider 6th grade as a year of choice, as this is a big year of transition into middle school. Students going into 6th grade are invited to also attend our middle school events and weekly Bible Study.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6

 Sunday School Classes

  • Nursery: Newborn to 3 years
  • Preschool: 3 years through 5 years old
  • Grade School: 1st through 3rd Grade, 5th through 6th Grade

Children birth through 2nd grade must be checked in by their caregiver at their classrooms. 2nd  through 6th grade will begin in the worship service and be dismissed just prior to the message. They will join their teachers for age-appropriate Bible lessons and peer discussions. Our teachers use a variety of learning styles and help the children experience Biblical accounts and application to life.

“Take 5”

This exciting summer kids’ discipleship and outreach program is each Sunday from June 30 – July 28, from 12 p.m. – to 3 p.m. Each week, kids who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade have the option to choose from three age-based electives, which teach life skills in a fun and nurturing way. This year’s options include: Cooking, Woodworking, Fitness, Chemistry, Fishing, Camp Crafts, Baking & Cake Decorating, Yard Games, Music & Rhythm, Painting, Basketball, Gardening and a Theatre Workshop . Advance registration is encouraged as space may be limited for a certain elective. Kids are also provided with a fun snack, and there is music and a short time of encouragement from God’s Word. It all concludes with the Children’s Ministry Picnic on Sunday, August 4. “Take 5” is open to the community, so we invite everyone to come! Information and registration is at the Harbor Rock “Take 5” booth on Sundays, or online at take5.churchcenter.com/registrations.
